Account Representative

Job Summary

Americo Description:  Manufacturer of specialty chemicals to support customers that manufacture metal durable goods.  Typical chemical applications:

  • Paint and Powder Coat Surface Preparation
  • Water Treatment: Waste, Boiler, Cooling Towers
  • Plating
  • Lubricants and Fluids
  • Many Other Process Application

This position is a sales / service dual role where the person will be working from their home, traveling to customers and prospects each day.  One part of the role will be to engage with customers at their facility through technical service visits that drive process control, new sales, customer interest and many other activities.  The second part will be to prospect, sell value, and to create new Americo customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

On a given day an Account Representative will be spending time:

  • Audit customers chemical processes
  • Provide engineering and technical recommendations
  • Perform chemical titrations and readings
  • Drive engineering projects to bring customer value
  • Write technical service reports
  • Host meetings at customers to deliver value
  • Cold call and set up in-person sales calls to engage potential customers
  • Write proposals for potential customers
  • These activities require a fair amount of driving to customers and prospects

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or related field experience

Experience and/or Training: Engineering, Sales, working with manufacturing would be preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience:  Manufacturing, effective problem solving

Physical and Mental Demands:

Work schedule is consistent with the customers’ operations, including early mornings or late nights.

Working Environment:

Works from home, traveling to customer and prospects manufacturing facilities daily.  The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
